We have a long-established juniors section for boys and girls of all standards aged 6 to 14+. The teams play in a Surrey league and largely against local clubs. As younger players develop they are welcomed into the
senior section with the opportunity to play in friendly matches with the more senior players ensuring their safety and controlled development. Those with real talent may quickly progress to the 1st XI. We abide by the ECB ‘Clubmark’ rulings for the welfare of all young people.

JUNIOR MEMBERS
Hambledon Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members.
Hambledon Cricket Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents/carers or guardians associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with the Club Welfare Officer.
As a member of Hambledon Cricket Club you are expected to abide by the following junior code of conduct:
SAFEGUARDING
We as a club adhere to the ‘Safe Hands’ Policy for Safeguarding Children in Cricket, whether within the Juniors section or turning out with either Senior side. All of the adults at the club who work with or manage/captain children meet the necessary criteria and are checked and vetted by the ECB. Whilst we hope your child will be happy and content at the club, we understand that sometimes questions, concerns or difficulties may arise. Please feel able to raise these as soon as possible, with our Club Safeguarding Officer, so we can rectify things at the earliest opportunity.
Hambledon Cricket Club policy is that parents or other responsible adults are responsible for transporting players to and from all matches and practice sessions and therefore the Club will not be registering Private Vehicles for the transportation of individuals in connection with any fixtures or practice sessions arranged by the Club. The implementation of this policy is not intended to exclude any player from participation and parents/carers/guardians should contact the Club Welfare Officer if they have any problems with the transportation of players to matches or practice sessions.
Hambledon CC ensures boys and girls feel welcome and develop according to their ability and pace that they feel comfortable with.
